How schools and coaching centres in Delhi use recorded voice calls for fee reminders, holiday notices and exam alerts that parents actually hear.
Parents get dozens of SMS a day, and a school notice can easily be missed. A short recorded voice call from the principal or class teacher is hard to ignore — and it works for parents who prefer listening to reading, in Hindi or English.
What schools in Delhi send by voice
- Holiday and closure notices (weather, pollution-related closures, elections)
- Fee due-date reminders
- Exam schedules and result-day announcements
- PTM invitations
- Transport changes and emergency alerts
Why voice works for schools
- Reaches every phone, including basic feature phones
- Hindi and English recordings suit Delhi's mixed-language parent base
- Call reports show who answered and for how long, so staff can follow up with the rest
- A familiar voice builds trust and reduces "is this real?" calls to the office
How to run a voice campaign
- Record a 20–40 second message in a quiet room, or type it and use text-to-speech where available.
- Upload the parent contact list (class-wise groups help).
- Schedule the call for a time parents can answer, such as early evening.
- Check the call report and resend to unanswered numbers or follow up by SMS.
Script tips
- Start with the school name so parents know who is calling
- Say the key fact (date, amount, reason) twice
- End with where to get more details, such as the school app or office number
- Keep it under 40 seconds
Combine voice with SMS
Send a short SMS with the same details right after the call, so parents have it in writing. TextNSMS runs both from one account and wallet. See Voice SMS and Bulk SMS, or talk to our team in Delhi.
